I’m Nicole D. Jordan and this is Tales From Den Haag Side, a weblog about my life as a 30-something woman living in a foreign land. I’m Trinidadian-born, Canadian-bred, married, have no kids, and have one cheeky cat.
This blog started out as a means of keeping in touch with my far-flung family, but it has quickly evolved into my weekly diary. It is about my life in The Netherlands and my experiences abroad. I have been writing it since November 2007.
Professionally, I am a classical singer. I teach people how to sing. I also teach people how to dance. I’m a PhD in Music Psychology. I literally have more education than I know what to do with. I’m trying to unlearn a lot of things.
My professional website is here, but I also run my own ensemble called OperaDans. It’s my dream job.
I like jelly beans, yoga, monkeys, and sharp pencils.
Welcome to The Tales.
